Personas Transgénero e Investigación en el Campo de la Administración

Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo dilucidar la evolución de los principales trabajos publicados en la base de datos “Web of Science TM” sobre personas transgénero y las investigaciones en el campo de la administración, señalando las lagunas y las principales tendencias en la investigación, a través de un análisis bibliométrico. Como abordaje metodológico, se realizó un análisis bibliométrico de carácter descriptivo, con técnicas cuantitativas para evaluar métricas de producción y difusión de la literatura académica actual, a partir de la definición del eje de investigación: personas transgénero y Administración. El levantamiento bibliométrico realizado presentó un total de 72 documentos, siendo Estados Unidos el país líder en investigaciones en el tema. El análisis reveló que el tema presenta una lenta evolución, relacionándose frecuentemente con otras minorías. En cuanto a la interpretación del contenido de los textos más citados, resulta inusual encontrar estudios que aborden las experiencias de las personas transgénero desde una perspectiva positiva. Los estudios sobre la discriminación que sufren las personas transgénero son más frecuentes, pero los factores que contribuyen a este escenario, así como los mecanismos para afrontarlo, aún requieren mayor discusión. Se concluye que los estudios en el campo de la administración, si bien están mostrando un interés creciente en abordar la diversidad de género y las identidades que conforman la sigla LGBT+, aún no presentan una base de evidencia suficiente que aborde específicamente el tema de las personas transgénero.
