(In)Satisfação e Stress na Profissão Docente

Resumo

A autora apresenta os conceitos de satisfação/ insatisfação profissional, satisfação/insatisfação docente, mal-estar/bem-estar docente e stress docente, demonstrando que nem sempre há consenso teórico sobre esta matéria. Em seguida, enumera os principais factores causadores do fenómeno, assim como as suas manifestações e consequências, pretendendo, deste modo, enfatizar o debate sobre uma situação que atinge muitos professores e salientar que não é uma situação de fácil resolução, dado o elevado número de variáveis que contribuem para o crescimento das situações de stress no trabalho docente.

Summary

The author presents the concepts of professional satisfaction/dissatisfaction, teaching satisfaction/dissatisfaction, teaching ill-being/ well-being, and teaching stress, showing that there is not always a theoretical consensus over that subject-matter. Then, the main factors that cause the phenomenon are numbered, as well as their manifestations and consequences, stressing the debate over a situation that strikes many teachers and enhancing, on the other hand, that this is not a situation of easy resolution, given the high number of variables that contribute to the increase of stress in the teachers’ work.
